Unpublished leftovers

These were to be posted last week (actually there was a lot of things I was planning to do last week), but a stomach flu hit the family *yuck* and I'm posting them today. These were done as a proposal/sample for a magazine. However, they were never published. Hope you enjoy holiday leftovers.

The first part - where the poet is writing a letter - reminds me of the Peanuts strips where Snoopy is writing to editors about his rejected manuscripts.

I can't remember the name of the book, and I can't put my hands on my copy right this minute, but it features tons of Peanuts strips and short essays by famous contemporary writers. If I find it, I'll let you know the title because it's an entertaining read - just for the comic strips alone!

This is great. I'm saving it to read every time I get one of those illustrious rejections.
