Press Release : Flood Fine Arts Gallery

On April 15, 2007, Flood Fine Arts Gallery will host its monthly poetry reading at 2:00p.m., featuring the following poets:

Tim Earley is the author of the poetry collection, Boondoggle. Twice a writing fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center, his poems have appeared in Chicago Review, jubilat, Hotel Amerika, Conduit, La Petite Zine, Southern Humanities Review and Fascicle. Earley graduated from the M.F.A. Program in Creative Writing at the University of Alabama. He teaches at Catawba Valley Community College.

Lucy Tobin is currently enrolled in the MFA program in poetry at Warren Wilson College. She has been a featured poet in the Fresh Air and Velcro reading series. Tobin's writing has appeared in the Asheville/Brooklyn based publication Red Line Blues.

Mara Leigh teaches Creative Writing at A-B Tech Community College. Her work has appeared in Chain, Glottis: New Writing, Poetry Now, One Less: Art on the Range, Nerve Lantern and For Immediate Release. She holds an MFA in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University's Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics where she studied with poet, Anne Waldman.

Gary Copeland Lilley is a professor in the WWC Undergraduate Creative Writing Department. He has been a poet-in-residence for WritersCorps, Young Chicago Authors, and The Poetry Center of Chicago. His publications include two full-length collections of poetry, The Subsequent Blues and Alpha Zulu, as well as two chapbooks, The Reprehensibles and Black Poem.
